mind + body work

I’ve been teaching yoga internationally for over 10 years, blending a deep curiosity for the mind-body connection with a love for movement and the outdoors. My journey began in India, where I completed my first teacher training and since then the practice has been an integral part of my life. Yoga set me on a path of personal discovery, development and self-healing that has helped me to overcome many challenges. I have spent the past 5 years running my own yoga studio in northern Japan in the mountain town of Niseko.

Through my classes I share what inspires my own practice in the hope of helping others on their personal journeys. I am an E-RYT 500, Vinyasa-Ashtanga, Yin, Meditation and Breathwork instructor. Most recently I completed a specialised 300 hour TTC in Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy, an 80 hour course in Functional Neurology for Yoga. I like to bring a sense of play and curiosity to the mat. My dynamic classes are often sprinkled with a little challenge and lots of fun, while restorative classes are grounding and more meditative. Wherever you are in your practice, I’m here to meet you there.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me snowboarding, surfing, running or hiking—anything that gets me moving and outside usually with my little pup in tow.

private + group classes

I offer Ashtanga-vinyasa yoga flow classes,  restorative yin classes and meditation and breathwork classes. I am also a certified Ayurveda yoga therapist and massage therapist. I am available to teach private sessions, workshops, events and on retreats. I believe that Yoga, Ayurveda, meditation and massage are great practices no matter your age or ability and I can tailor classes to suit your needs..

massage therapy: I offer 60, 90 and 120 minute sessions using traditional and contemporary techniques to relax, rejuvenate and recharge your body and mind. Chose from a range of treatments including; deep tissue, aromatherapy and Swedish massage.

yoga therapy massage: This treatment combines traditional Thai massage techniques, yoga therapy, breathwork and restorative yin yoga for a full body and mind relaxation experience. If you are looking for the ultimate relaxation session that treats your body mind and soul then this is the choice for you. If you have an injury, disease or ailment that you wish to treat holistically, we can work on personalised treatment together. Sessions are a minimum of 90 minutes.

ashtanga-vinyasa yoga: A dynamic flow based class designed to build strength and stability. A standing and seated sequence followed by a restorative savasana. Expect your heart rate to rise in this yang style class, we focus on using our breath in a moving meditation. 

yin yoga: This class involves long relaxed holds, between 3 and.5 minutes. Designed to release deeper into the facial tissue that binds and holds your body together. Expect a low effort physically and the use of props to help you relax into poses. Breath-work is used in yin to calm and still the mind and to take you deeper into the poses.

ayurveda yoga therapy: In these sessions we do a deep dive into your personal Dosha (body type) and provide yoga, nutrition and lifestyle advice to compliment your personal requirements. If you are suffering with any physical ailments or mental health concerns then this style of treatment can be of great benefit. I also offer a Yoga Therapy Massage treatment that combines traditional Thai massage techniques, yoga therapy, breathwork and restorative yin yoga for a full body and mind relaxation experience.

meditation + breathwork: Meditation is the practice of observing the mind. Through the use of breathwork and other tools we can develop meditation techniques to help keep you grounded throughout the day. Classes are physically very low impact, calming and restorative.

for kids: These class are specially designed to engage and entertain the little ones while introducing them to the tools and principles of meditation and yoga. I use fun and engaging stories to take kids on a journey together though a yoga practice. Sessions are shorter and involve a guided activity as well as taught postures. 

training for teachers

Combining my experience in the health and wellness industry with my business and marketing skills, I provide workshops for yoga teachers to guide them through starting or growing their business. This is a great add on to a yoga teacher training course or for a studio to offer their teachers to help them promote their classes. In the workshops I offer training and advice on branding, website design. social media and marketing. I am also an E-RYT 500 hour qualified instructor with school status so can help facilitate yoga teacher training courses..

COACHING

If you’re looking to open a yoga studio or organise your own retreat I can help you with everything from planning + organisation, marketing + promotion to teaching and developing retreat themes. I have several years experience running retreats and a little black book of contacts for venues, teachers and chefs to help your retreat have that added wow factor. In addition to planning and organisation I can help you  or I can facilitate the whole event for you, allowing you to focus on teaching.
